ALIVE Labs & Equipment

A core objective of the ALIVE initiative is to build up longterm capacities and infrastructure that many ETH institutions can benefit from. The following facilities have been realized within the intiative:

• A central bio-lab facility that supports state-of-the-art mammalian cell culture, in situ live-cell imaging and high-precision tissue bio-manufacturing (e.g. NanoOne 3D laser microprinter).
  

• A central bio-lab facility that combines state-of-the-art bacteria cell culturing in a sterile climate-cell, with a collaborative robotic arm to develop digital fabrication processes involving living systems, and equipment to assess the behaviour of the resulting parts.
